Monica Gentile is a Dance Artist, Hatha Yoga and Medical Qi Gong Teacher, and Laughter Yoga Leader, whose journey in movement began at age four and has evolved over three decades into a rich exploration of embodiment, healing, and self-discovery. Her approach integrates diverse disciplines—from dance and martial arts to Qi Gong and meditation—inviting others into practices that support vitality, awareness, and balance.
At ASHA, Monica brings her expertise to both one-on-one and group sessions, empowering participants to cultivate their sense of embodiment and rediscover their innate joy and creativity. Known for her gentle guidance and compassionate approach, Monica helps participants build confidence, deepen their connection to their bodies, and embrace each moment with presence and care.
Qualifications & Experience
Trained in Classical and Contemporary Dance, with additional studies in Butoh Dance and Contact Improvisation.
Certified Hatha Yoga Teacher with 10 years of teaching experience, specialising in movement and anatomy.
Medical Qi Gong Teacher with training in Ancient Chinese Medicine.
Laughter Yoga Leader and Ambassador, experienced in therapeutic laughter yoga for chronic pain and trauma.
Experienced martial arts practitioner (Kung Fu, Aikido) and dedicated meditation practitioner (Zazen and Vipassana).
